Oversized wall calendar:
CALENDAR CATS
These calendar cats might not qualify for pinup material, but they ARE colorful - in mores ways than one - and they certainly had fun posing for these pictures. Almost as much fun as I had drawing them.
Some of them had problems holding their pose for more than a couple of minutes. But we finally managed to get all 13 pictures done for this new CAT CALENDAR.
These are all new designs, made especially for this oversized wall calendar. I might use some of these cats for other stuff later on, though : ) And, again, if you have a request, just send me an email and I'll see what I can do.
A couple of words about the cats in the calendar:
Frontpage:
Well, this IS a true pinup cat. She's got potential. Might enter some Cat Miss Whatever Beauty Pageant someday. And I think she's got a big chance of winning.
January:
"Oooh, SNACK TIME, BABY".
Poor little fishy! Nowhere to run... swim.
February:
"Pardon my looks! I didn't get my 23 hours of sleep yesterday!"
Who hasn't felt like that. Even though we humans don't need more that 7-8 hours. Or so they say. Doesn't always feel like it. I wanna be a cat in my next life.
March:
"What part of 'I WANT SHRIMP' did you not understand?"
Cats are just kids with fur. And here's another proof; cat, too, can be pampered and spoiled. And I'm not gonna tell you which of my two cats inspired me to do THIS drawing.
April:
"At least comb your hair before you wake up you cat in the morning!"
I can tell you which of my cats inspired me to do this design! It was Cher! But she was the one who messed up my hair during the night in the first place, so it really wasn't my fault!
May:
"Life is too short not to be enjoyed!"
Ain't that the truth. And we could learn a thing or two about that from our cats. Just watch them and see how relaxed and "anti-stressed" they are. Again; I wanna be a cat in my next life!
June:
I guess this little blowfish must be sort of desperate to think that this cute little cat looks even remotely like a blowfish. But then again... The tail, the fur, the round-ish body... Actually I see the resemblance too : )
July:
A cat scratching where scratching is not allowed!!! Is that possible? Would a cat really do such a thing? And maybe even do it ON PURPOSE - KNOWING that it is forbidden??? Ah well, they're cats! They are sort of allowed to misbehave.
August:
"Heeere, little steak! Come to Kitty!"
That'll teach you to leave a steak unattended on the kitchen counter. Cats have to follow their instinct. It's as simple as that!
September:
Cat in stealth mode. Mouse ahead. Shhh...
October:
"Me? What? When? No! Wasn't me! Uh-uh, no way! Wasn't even here! Couldn't have been me. No siree! Cross my heart. Swear to God!"
It seems to me that the cat doth protest to much!!!
November:
"Let sleeping dogs - CATS - lie!"
Might be a wise decision. Cats do NOT like to be disturbed. Not while they're sleeping, not while they're eating, not while they're playing, not while... well, not EVER!
December:
"There is no such thing as 'just' a cat!"
And if you have a cat or ever have had a cat or cats, you'll agree. A cat is NEVER 'just' a cat. Every cat is special. And wonderful and beautiful and fantastic in his or her own way. Not like us; we are all JUST human beings : ) Except for those of us who own cats; we are cat-owners, which put us in a category above the rest. Just kidding. Or am I...?
